Dobama Theatre, Cleveland, OH
Directed by Shannon Sindelar
Sound Design and Original Music by Erik T. Lawson

"In the not-too-distant future it’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 85-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion programmed to recount the distant, fading memories of her life. This incredible new play and Pulitzer Prize finalist explores what it means to be human in the digital age.." -Official Press Release

The sound design and original music for Marjorie Prime investigates the contrast between hazy idyllic memories, the flawless qualities we assign loved ones, and the reality of our imperfections. The music is inspired by the abstract image support structures in pointillist paintings, and the iconic figures formed from star and galaxy maps.
