Sound Design and Original Music by Erik T. Lawson
The Alice Project is a devised theatre piece inspired by the novel Through the Looking Glass. The soundscore is influenced by the game of chess, a framework guiding the novel. At the beginning of the play the score is relatively structured. The sound and musical elements follow logical rules, are meticulous, and illustrate order. As the play progresses the sound design gradually grows unpredictable and chaotic, emphasizing the wild and unexpected.
